From the beginning...
I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1994. Although I grew up in a family without formal musical training, music was always present: from the tangos my grandfather sang under the artistic name Alberto Rosan, to my mother’s singing and my father’s passion for dancing.
My first formal encounter with music came in 2001, when I discovered Colombian traditional percussion in primary school and understood the emotional power of rhythm and the influence that it has on people. In that same year I had my pretty first encounter with rock and metal, genres that would shape my entire trajectory. I got it from my older cousin’s personal collection of CDs that included bands like System of a Down, Rammstein, and Linkin Park; nevertheless, my curiosity quickly pushed me toward more extreme styles until I found in death metal and groove a space that demanded technique, discipline, and a defined sonic identity that I love
In 2008 I discovered the drum set, an instrument that immediately became the center of my artistic life. My professional training continued at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, where I earned a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in percussion. There, I explored a wide range of genres — jazz, Latin music, funk, hip hop — and acquired the technical and conceptual tools that would shape my career. I have been part of projects that led me to major stages such as Rock al Parque (XinniX, The Brainwash Machine, Kariwa) and Hip Hop al Parque (Nazari Sound), as well as international tours with Misticia and XinniX.
Over time, I developed a strong musical identity and a deep interest in the technical and production side of the industry. This led me to work as a backliner, Drum Tech, and Stage Manager in concerts and regularly in a wellknow venue in Bogota called: Ace of Spades. There and thanks to Backline America corp, I had the chance to collaborate with national and international artists including Psycroptic, Ensiferum, Arch Enemy, Behemoth and more.
And now...
I live in Germany, where I work as an event technician while remaining active as a musician. Part of Skampida — a band with a long trajectory in Colombia — with whom I had the chance to Tour and play all across Europe, and a new death metal project that belongs to my hearth and based in Cologne, the city I now call home.
