FUC (Fenómenos Únicos Cañeros / Folklore Urbano Contemporáneo) is a hardcore and punk‑metal band formed in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2009. Their sound is unmistakably urban, raw, and rooted in the chaotic, humorous, and often contradictory reality of the city. Over the years, FUC has developed a distinctive musical identity that blends the urgency of punk with the weight of metal, all delivered through sharp, ironic, and socially charged lyrics in Spanish. Their work reflects a long‑term artistic vision built around critique, storytelling, and an unapologetically direct attitude.

The band’s origins trace back to early material created between 2003 and 2008, before consolidating under the name FUC and known as THT. During their first decade, they released a series of independent EPs—Desidia, Negligencia, Forcha, Paila, and the compilation Grandes Éxitos—as well as Nada Normal Vale la Pena, an EP inspired by Colombian literature and in wich Boris had been part in the promotional tour and a recorded live session. These early works established the foundation of their sound and their commitment to self‑managed production, conceptual coherence and a DIY ethos.

In 2023, FUC released their first full‑length album, a self‑titled LP that compiles songs written between 2009 and 2022. Recorded in Bogotá and post‑produced in New York, the album represents the culmination of a creative era and a refined expression of the band’s identity. The LP includes twelve tracks that explore themes such as urban decay, political tension, personal contradictions, and the absurdity of everyday life. A limited vinyl edition of 24 copies was produced, each containing exclusive access to three additional tracks.

Throughout their trajectory, FUC has maintained a strong visual and conceptual universe, supported by music videos, artwork, and a consistent narrative voice. Their presence in the Colombian heavy music scene stands out for their authenticity, their commitment to social commentary, and their ability to merge Bogotá’s street sensibility with a powerful, genre‑blending sound.
