Misticia is a Colombian metal band founded in 1999 in the Andean region of Soacha. Their sound merges death metal, grindcore, groove, sludge, and Ibero‑American indigenous traditions, positioning them among the first Colombian acts to integrate pre‑Columbian influences into extreme metal with depth and intention. Over the years, the band has forged a distinctive identity that bridges ancestral heritage with modern heaviness.

Their international trajectory includes early recording sessions in Germany (2001), the EP Welcome to Utopia (2003), and the full‑length Sickness of the Earth (2009), mastered by Andy Classen. In 2019, they released XVA, an album highlighted by Rolling Stone Colombia as one of the most notable metal records of the year. Throughout its history, Misticia has featured musicians from Colombia, Germany, and Spain, contributing to its evolving and multicultural sound.

Misticia’s lineup has included musicians from Colombia, Germany, and Spain, contributing to the band’s diverse and evolving sound. I was active part between 2019 and 2020, contributing to the band’s live force and rhythmic identity. During this period, we toured Morocco, Spain, and Germany; completed a tour across Colombia where we performed as the opening act for Venom Inc.; and recorded a live session in Spain featuring three tracks titled Chyky (a Black Sabbath cover); and filmed two music videos in Europe.
